Hi Snakedoctors! What was the original spark that encouraged you to start creating music together?

Imagine four friends hanging out together and knowing each other for years. A lot of fun together. Why not the music then?

Congrats on your new release, ‘Wuss’. Can you give us some insight into the song?

Definitely on the grungy side. But with a lot of fun in it for a difference. It’s a song about one of those guys who instead of using the opportunities that arrive just talks and talks… and those opportunities disappear.

And what was it like to work with Ada Nike on this?

It’s the single version that is a duet with Ada Nike. She’s a talented vocalist from Gdansk, Poland. Our city. We met already filming the video for one of our previous singles “Girl With Sponges”. She’s a real pro in terms of her attitude towards her work. She actually knows the lyrics for the single better than we do. And we wrote the songJ

Are you planning to make it part of a larger release, such as an EP or album?

The single itself possibly some time later. Much later as a part of a special or so. Regular versions already appeared on our current double album “Four and a half”.

Your music interweaves so many different styles and sounds. If you could collaborate with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?

Very correct with the style. In last review in most important music magazine here in Poland we were described as having definitely our own style as a mixture of a few styles… We all have a lot in common in terms music we like. But each one would possibly like to work with someone else – that would be – Alice in Chains, Pixies, Killing Joke and Queen. But we all would like to appear in one of Dua Lipa’s videosJ

What’s been your favorite musical experience to date?

Bandwise two of them – one would be the music show with heavy metal bands which turned out – believe or not – really great and another one – working with people who got to work with the Cure, the Kinks, Depeche Mode, Yazoo and David Bowie. Way beyond our fun attitude. We appreciate to have that chance.

You are also based in Poland. Can you tell us how the music scene there has inspired your sound at all?

Rock was like a big and solid thing here in the 80’s which we like to look back into. Many great new wave bands too. That gave us “we love rock” attitude. And then we had the influence from foreign new wave, postpunk and new wave heroes – we mentioned a couple of them earlier above.

If you could perform at any venue in the world, where would it be and why?

Sydney Opera House;)

Finally, have you got anything to share regarding upcoming gigs and what have you got planned over the rest of 2022?

We plan to release more singles and promote our “Four and a half” album. It’s a third one in just two or 1.5 years… We have also most of songs for the next one already recorded. So finishing it up for 2023 is within our focus too. But firstly, we plan to have continuously a lot of fun playing and recording music. Thank you for the invitation for that talk we’ve had.
