Hi! For those that haven’t heard of you yet, how would you best describe your sound, and who have been your biggest influences so far?
Hi!! I would describe my sound as cinematic pop and my biggest influences growing up were Coldplay and John Legend.
Do you remember what the first song was that made you want to start a career in music?
Probably “Speed Of Sound” by Coldplay. I always pictured myself while in my room, singing that song and going all out in front of a stadium of people.
Congrats on the release of ‘Forevermore’, the EP sounds great. What was the inspiration behind it?
I wanted a movie soundtrack vibe for this EP. My music was created to follow you around your everyday movie moments. I hope it resonates with you!
What’s your favorite track on the EP and why?
My favorite track… hmmm, that’s hard, but I think I’d say “Without You I Can’t Dance”. I love singing it and I love what it makes me feel.
And how would you say it compares to your previous releases?
I’d say, this is me. This is the music that makes me feel something and makes me wanna cry or dance or love. I’d say this sound is more mature and shows a great leap in my growth artistically.
Where are you based? Can you tell us how the music scene there has inspired your sound at all?
I’m based in Montreal, Canada. I love the love over here, it’s all about community and showing up for one another and people are so supportive of each other and I love that. It definitely gives me the freedom to create the music that I love and the confidence to release music that I truly believe in.
What is the biggest challenge of being an artist?
Not having a set schedule can sometimes be challenging, so it’s all about to-do lists and reminders for me… and even then it can be tricky to juggle!
What’s the best advice you’ve been given as a musician?
To dream F^#^g BIG!
There are no limits to the dreams I have, if I put in the time and if I really believe in what I got, anything is achievable!
What’s next for you? Is there more music or any live shows on the way?
Shows are coming up!! And I’m ready to take over the world, so it’s all about promo and getting my music out there to the most people possible. I really hope to tour the world one day and sing my songs with crowds of people.
