Receiving early looks and pushes from Spotify’s playlists like ‘Mellow Bars’ and ‘Fresh Finds’, prepare to know the name LOCS for 2022.

Hi! You recently released ‘Pray On It’ and it’s brilliant. For anyone who’s yet to hear it, how would you describe the track?

“Pray On It” is the perfect blend between a trap beat and a lyrical mind. It hits hard while also remaining conscious.

Where did you record it?

I recorded the song in a closet that can barely fit a table! It’s amazing how music can be made anywhere.

Are you planning to make it part of a larger release, such as an EP or album?

It’s actually the second single I’ve released leading up to my EP coming September 30th. Very excited to release what I’ve been holding for a long time.

What are you doing to ensure you continue to grow and develop as an artist?

Staying engaged with my supporters and trying new things have allowed me to progress and become a better artist. I strive to be different and give the audience something to look forward to every time I announce a new release.

Your music interweaves so many different styles and sounds. If you could collaborate with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?

I would collaborate with J Cole of many. Mainly because he is versatile and steps outside of the box at times also. He brings his A game on everything so it would lift me up also.

What’s been your favorite musical experience to date?

My first song to get a lot of recognition was “Bright and Early” which now sits over half a million streams. I pick the moment of watching it go up and up every day and it put a battery in my back to dive even further into my music career.

You are also based in LA. Can you tell us how the music scene there has inspired your sound at all?

It’s always sunny in LA and events are fun and wild. I bring a lot of positive energy into my song and imagine performing it in front of crowds that love to get wild. I believe that’s where the energy in my songs stems from.

If you could perform at any venue in the world, where would it be and why?

I would love to perform at The Schottenstein Center because it’s in my hometown Columbus, OH. Selling out that place would be a crazy achievement and a great experience.

And what was the first album you remember owning?

The first album I remember listening to in its entirety is “Nothing Was The Same” by Drake. It’s my favorite album of all time.

Finally, have you got anything to share regarding upcoming gigs, and what have you got planned over the rest of 2022?

Working out some things around my EP. I’m sure to be a familiar face to cities here soon.
