Hey, super nice to have the chance to chat with you. What have you been up to over the past year in this big old mess?

Hey, thanks for having me. I’m so happy to be here today. It’s been a weird couple of years, to be honest. I moved to London 2 years ago, in the middle of the pandemic, and it’s been a very strange experience. Luckily I was studying, so I kept busy writing many songs and just working a lot.

I’m very interested in how you started your adventure with music, and did you know from the beginning that this is what you wanted to do?

My parents encouraged my brother and me to pursue music as a hobby from a very young age, so I studied piano, guitar, and even cello for a little while. I started taking singing lessons when I was 11, and then I could never stop. I’ve always known that this is what I wanted to do. The hard part was believing that I really could.

Congrats on your new release, ‘I’ll be gone’. Can you give us some insight into it?

I love this one. I co-wrote it with my producer Alex Rigueiro when I barely knew him back in 2020, and that’s how our collaboration and, most notably, our friendship started.

In more in-depth, I’ll be gone is an introspective yet uplifting tune that comes from the urge to break free through music. Whether it’s a toxic relationship, a friendship or even a place, this song symbolises a journey towards freedom that begins with doubts and fantasies and slowly leads to the action itself.

What are you doing to ensure you continue to grow and develop as an artist?

I’m always practising. I try to do at least 1 hour a day. I also have weekly production/songwriting sessions with my team to work on new songs. And then I try to listen to as much music as possible, go to gigs, network and also read a lot!

What should we be expecting from your next releases in terms of style and sound? How different are they going to be compared to your previous works?

You can expect some emotional piano ballads and more upbeat tunes, with some drum & bass! I can’t wait for you to hear them!

Where are you based? Can you tell us how the music scene there has inspired your sound at all?

I’m based in London, and the music scene here is so vibrant! There’s always a gig to go to. I’m mainly looking up to artists like Adele and Dua Lipa. I love them both, and for opposite reasons, as I love to blend heartfelt ballads and upbeat dance-pop tunes.

If you could perform at any venue in the world, where would it be and why?

Wembley Stadium, haha. I’ve been to a few concerts there, and the atmosphere is surreal. I wonder how it feels to perform in front of such a huge crowd and what the acoustic is like!

Can we expect a new EP or an album from you in the near future?

That’s the plan, yes! But you should expect more singles and videos before that too.

Finally, have you got anything to share regarding upcoming gigs, and what have you got planned over the rest of 2022?

I don’t have much more planned for the rest of 2022, as there’s only one month left, but I’m planning to do some gigs around London next year. Just make sure you follow me on socials as I’ll be posting the details soon, and hopefully, I’ll see you all there!
