Hey, super nice to have the chance to chat with you. What have you been up to over the past year in this big old mess?

I’ve been writing and recording the record mainly. There’s a live album I did in 2022 that I’m working on releasing.

I’m very interested in how you started your adventure with music, and did you know from the beginning that this is what you wanted to do?

I always felt that I would be on stage doing something. I started back in 2002. I’ve been writing since that time also.

Congrats on the release of ‘Theosis’, the album sounds great. What was the inspiration behind it?

I wanted to write about having a journey to God and finding salvation in a way that was unique. The doctrine of Theosis is very ancient and I thought it would be interesting and worth while to express it in this way.

What’s your favorite track on the album and why?

I like “Tree of Knowledge.” It addresses the doubts and questions people have about Christ. Also, I think it is the best guitar work on the whole album.

What are you doing to ensure you continue to grow and develop as an artist?

I’m continuing to listen to different styles of music and explore new sounds.

What should we expect from your next releases in terms of style and sound? How different are they going to be compared to your previous works?

The current project is called “Barbarians at the Gates.” Roy Buchanan and Jeff Beck are my favorite guitarists and I would like to do more instrumentals. I love the Jeff Beck Group albums “Truth” and “Beck-Ola.” The new project will definitely be influenced by those records.

Where are you based? Can you tell us how the music scene there has inspired your sound at all?

I’m in South Carolina near Charlotte, North Carolina. There’s folk-rock, country, rock, etc.

If you could perform at any venue in the world, where would it be and why?

The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. It was built as a Christian place of worship and I believe music is sacred. The history of it, the location, and all the other great acts that have been there before makes it the place I would love to play.

Finally, have you got anything to share regarding upcoming gigs, and what have you got planned for 2023?

We’re looking at some gigs in the summer. Right now I want to finish the live album recorded in 2022 and keep writing.
