Hey, super nice to have the chance to chat with you. What have you been up to over the past year in this big old mess?

Thank you for the opportunity , it´s very nice to chat!
This year I´ve spent a lot of time looking inward and taking more space and time to be by myself.
I´ve really tried to listen and chanel what´s been on my mind and figuring out how to put it into my little universe around my music.
It´s important for me to tell a story that is genuine to me through my art so these past years when I´ve been forced to slow down has been both an amazing time for that but of course really challenging aswell.

I’m very interested in how you started your adventure with music, and did you know from the beginning that this is what you wanted to do?
I started singing when I was around twelve years old in my local youth choir.
No one in my family practised music but music has always been very present and valued.
Singing has always been my main way to express myself and I started writing songs at home when I was a teenager and played them on my nylon stringed guitar. I knew pretty early that this was more than just a hobby and i studied music in school and went on to study musical theater for three years (that was not for me though, haha).

Congrats on your new release, ‘All My Ghosts’. Can you give us some insight into it? And what are you doing to ensure you continue to grow and develop as an artist?

Thank you! “All My Ghosts” is the first single from my upcoming EP called “Melancholia High Season” (Out in March 2023)

It´s a love song and it´s the first love song I ever wrote. It might not be a classic love ballad, it´s about the thrilling yet gut wrenching feeling of throwing yourself out there for someone, exposing all of your baggage and hoping that you will be enough. In the music video – a collab withSwedish  Lurdo Collective – we used a turntable (a spinning board) to really emphasize the feeling of being put on display for someone.
Try ensure that I continue grow and develop as an artist I try to always stay curious. Curious on the world, the people I meet, art, nature etc. That´s where I find inspiration no matter the current times.

What should we expect from your next releases in terms of style and sound? How different are they going to be compared to your previous works?

I feel like I´ve found my voice and my sound. I´ve moved more towards an indie sound that feels very close to home and also more personal.
My next single will be out in the beginning of 2023 is both more intimate and explosive at the same time. It has a great build up and is perfect for the dance floor in a club or in the privacy of your bedroom. The song topics feeling of isolation, the pandemic, depression, and all the emotions of being outside a world built for couples – the complexity of wanting someone and also questioning that way of life that most of us are so invested in.

Where are you based? Can you tell us how the music scene there has inspired your sound at all?

If you could perform at any venue in the world, where would it be and why?

I am originally from Gothenburg on the west coast of Sweden but I´m based in Stockholm since a few years back. The music scene in Gothenburg is very different from the one in Stockholm. I grew up going to a lot of illegal parties in the woods and abandoned warehouses and that is very typical for my hometown. The music scene is very DYI and running around on sessions like we do in Stockholm is not really a thing. Stockholm is amazing in the way that you can quickly find yourself in very professional and international settings.
I’m really happy to have experinced both and I chanel that as much as I can.

Can we expect a new EP or an album from you in the near future?

My EP “Melancholia High Season” is out in March 2023. I´ve never been more excited in my life!
I aim to play live for as much as possible and I have a summer banger ready for later this spring.

Finally, have you got anything to share regarding upcoming gigs, and what have you got planned next?

The little that is left of 2022 will be spent celebrating my music video for All my Ghosts and trying to slow down to get some time for reflection of this past year. I´m so ready for 2023 and releasing more music!
