Hey, super nice to have the chance to chat with you. What have you been up to over the past year in this big old mess?

Hello, thank you so much for having me! To be honest with you this last year has been the best one of my life so far. I started busking in June last year and it turned my life around. It has given me the opportunity to peruse music as my full-time career. I’ve met new friends for life and lovely people who enjoys my shows and music. I’m feeling more blessed and grateful than ever.

I’m very interested in how you started your adventure with music, and did you know from the beginning that this is what you wanted to do?

I discovered that music was my calling at a very young age, I was about 7 years old. I felt consorted and understood by music and I wanted to make others feel the same. Since day one I knew that it’s exactly what I was put on this earth to do and I haven’t hesitate about it ever since that day.

Congrats on your new release, ‘Stay Away’. Can you give us some insight into it?

Thank you so much! I’m beyond happy with how it turned out and how well it’s being revived. It seems to be connecting with people in a beautiful way. The song is about staying away from things that prevents you from living a fun, colorful and adventurous life! I wrote after a phone call with my older sibling. I had just moved to London from Stockholm and had a difficult time settling in and was contemplating moving back. But my sibling told me that he’d never be able to forgive me if I gave up on my dreams and moved back because of them. He told me to stay away. I wrote this song has a reminder to myself to always do what I feel is right in my gut.

What are you doing to ensure you continue to grow and develop as an artist?

I’m constantly working on perfecting my craft. I love everything related to music but what I’m focusing on the most is to be as good of a songwriter and performer as I can. I’m constantly writing new material and doing shows. I want to give off a confident and authentic feeling when people experience my art. I think the only way to get that is to be as sincere as you can be and to put in the hours.

What should we expect from your next releases in terms of style and sound? How different are they going to be compared to your previous works?

The next release is going to be quite different from ‘Stay Away’ I always connect music a lot to weather and seasons. The next song will be released in November and will be a darker ballad more suitable for the colder months.

However, more fun and uptempo songs are also in the works so for the people that enjoy this side of my music can expect more songs in this style in the near future as well.

Where are you based? Can you tell us how the music scene there has inspired your sound at all?

I’m born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden but I’ve been living in London, UK since December 2018. This city has inspired me as a musician in so many ways. One of them is to work hard and to be confident in yourself and your art. Before I moved to London I was constantly excusing myself for taking space in the music Industry. But London has taught me that I deserve a space as much as anyone else.

If you could perform at any venue in the world, where would it be and why?

Great question, the first venue that comes to mind is Royal Albert Hall in London. The venue is absolutely stunning and has a great sound system. I was recently there to see Ben Howard perform and it was a breathtaking experience.

Otherwise it would have to be an amusement park in Stockholm called ’Gröna Lund’ I’ve been to hundreds of concerts there when I was young and to perform there would be a full circle moment for me.

Can we expect a new EP or an album from you in the near future?

I will keep releasing new songs every other month or so. I definitely want to release an album but I have not found the right people to release it with.. yet!

Finally, have you got anything to share regarding upcoming gigs, and what have you got planned for the rest of 2023?

There’s some really exciting things coming up! I’m doing two big shows in London and Stockholm. 29th September at Södra Teatern i Stockholm and 19th October at Folklore in London. A new song is planned to be released in November as well as I previously mentioned. It’s a different side of me and I’m excited to see how people will react to it.
