Hey, super nice to have the chance to chat with you. What have you been up to over the past year in this big old mess?

Well I’m very appreciative for the review! My family and I are glad things to be getting somewhat back to normal after Covid. I started work on the production of the new album back in January of this year. It’s been a slow process but enjoyable.

I’m very interested in how you started your adventure with music, and did you know from the beginning that this is what you wanted to do?

I started writing songs around the year 2,000. Always been a bit of a metal head but I write rock. I like to write songs with theological weight to them.

Congrats on your new release, ‘Kiss the Son’. Can you give us some insight into it?

This song is a fun rock song that I wrote largely inspired by a few teachings from the Bible. Specifically that the eternal Son of God is a ruling King who deserves worship from all His creation. To kiss the Son is to honor Him, to treasure Him, to believe who He says He is.

What are you doing to ensure you continue to grow and develop as an artist?

Challenging myself to write more creatively and to team up with people who are talented and who believe in what I’m doing.

What should we expect from your next releases in terms of style and sound?

How different are they going to be compared to your previous works? The are 4 new songs schedules to be released in the 1st quarter of 2023. One of them is a slow rock song but the others take on an indie feel and are fairly chilled out.

Where are you based? Can you tell us how the music scene there has inspired your sound at all?

I’m in Poughkeepsie, NY which is roughly 2 hours north of New York City. There is a real strong heavy metal scene here, which I love, but not so much inspired by.

If you could perform at any venue in the world, where would it be and why?

Anywhere where my favorite band My Epic is playing would work for me.

Can we expect a new EP or an album from you in the near future?

The 4 songs that release next year will complete my new 8 song album entitled ‘Pilgrim’s Progress.’ I have other new material I hope to take to the studio and start on a new project shortly after.

Finally, have you got anything to share regarding upcoming gigs, and what have you got planned for the rest of 2022?

I don’t play live currently other than my church’s regular Sunday morning church services where I lead the worship. I don’t play too many originals there, mainly just modern hymns and psalms. I’m taking a break for the holidays and will be back online dropping new content next year! Thanks for the thoughtful questions. God bless!
