Hey, super nice to have the chance to chat with you. What have you been up to over the past year in this big old mess?

The pleasure is mine. Just working hard, writing, creating, and minding my business.

I’m very interested in how you started your adventure with music, and did you know from the beginning that this is what you wanted to do?

I always loved music and writing. My journey started by getting a degree in music engineering. And I always loved writing and rapping, so I just ended up taking it more seriously. When I was younger, I wanted to be a lawyer, guess that didn’t work out. lol

We love your release, ‘Time’. Can you give us some insight into it?

Thank You. Time is a record that is about not having time to love, sometimes we can get so focused on a goal, we start to have tunnel vision. But when something is important you just gotta make time. I was in that space when I wrote that song, and obviously some personal elements you can hear in that 2nd verse. But I think people resonate with this record because they can relate to it.

What are you doing to ensure you continue to grow and develop as an artist?

Staying creative and consistent. Not paying attention to what other people are doing, because you can really get caught up in that and start thinking that you need to take some else’s path, but you don’t. Also understanding that I don’t know it all. My team and my manager (Flow) keep me on my toes.

What should we expect from your next releases in terms of style and sound? How different are they going to be compared to your previous works?

Ima definitely have some eclectic releases, something that sounds different from the norm, always. But I will be focusing on a more consistent sound for my upcoming EP.

Where are you based? Can you tell us how the music scene there has inspired your sound at all?

Long Beach, CA is home. The music scene is why my sound is so different. I love different genres and actively listen to different types of artists. All music is a vibe, and it speaks to different pieces of me. That’s inspirational.

If you could perform at any venue in the world, where would it be and why?

In New York, Madison Square Garden. Because that’s where all the greats have performed. It would be a blessing to go crazy on that stage. I’m manifesting it.

Can we expect a new EP or an album from you in the near future?

Yes, you can. It’s definitely gonna be something in time for the cuddle weather. My team and I are planning our rollout now.

Finally, have you got anything to share regarding upcoming gigs, and what have you got planned for the rest of 2022?

Yes, I’ll be opening for J Stone December 30th at the Echoplex in LA. That’s gonna be epic. I’m excited to have a show like that in my city. For the rest of the year, I will be promoting my current songs that I’ve dropped, writing for artists, and focusing on the EP.
