Hi! You recently released ‘RUN!’ and it’s brilliant. For anyone who’s yet to hear it, how would you describe the track?

I’d describe it as an indie pop summertime bop!

Where did you record it?

I recorded it at Smash Cat Studios in Pittsburgh, PA!

Are you planning to make it part of a larger release, such as an EP or album?

Not this song, but I am working on an EP which is set to release later this year or early next year!

I’m very interested in how you started your adventure with music, and did you know from the beginning that this is what you wanted to do?

I actually wanted to be an actor or a vet but I’ve always had a connection to music. My mom surrounded me with instruments and music from a young age so as I grew up I started posting covers online and writing my own songs. A producer found me through instagram and I decided to fly out from California to Pittsburgh so we could work together. I ended up flying out twice because I had such a good time making music and I knew I wanted to continue down this career path.

That is actually where I wrote RUN!, the producers brother had this track almost finished but didn’t have any vocals and asked if I wanted to hop on it. I was so in love with this instrumental and the vibe of the song, to this day it is one of my favorites!

Your music interweaves so many different styles and sounds. If you could collaborate with anyone in the world, who would it be and why?

Oh man, I have a list! I’d love to get on a song with Sir Sly, they’ve definitely been a big influence for me. Eminem would be incredible to work with, Ed Sheeran is up there as well. Growing up as a Warped Tour emo kid, I’ve always wanted to collab with Kellin Quinn. I love creating with other artists so my list is pretty long but these are just a few!

What’s been your favorite musical experience to date?

Honestly, I played a show at this hole in the wall bar called the Silverlake Lounge and it was such a fun show, it felt like everything just fell in to place and the audience was a lot of fun! I also got to play the Whiskey A Go Go which is another one of my favorite experiences, that was insane and such a big accomplishment.

Where are you based? Can you tell us how the music scene there has inspired your sound at all?

I am based in Santa Cruz, CA. We have some incredible artist here in the Bay Area that have definitely inspired my sound!

If you could perform at any venue in the world, where would it be and why?

Red Rocks in Colorado, it’s been my dream venue since I started making music!

And what was the first album you remember owning?

I think Riot! By Paramore was the first album I owned, they were also the first concert I ever went too!

Finally, have you got anything to share regarding upcoming gigs, and what have you got planned for 2023?

I am working on setting some gigs up for the rest of 2023, and I have an EP in the works too so new music is coming very soon!
