“This song is about the drive I’ve had to pursue music more seriously and the journey I’m on, and now that I have some momentum I feel like ‘I’m on fire.’ There is a woman in my life that inspired most of the songs on the album and that relationship sort of sparked a lot of creative output so that is what the first verse is speaking to. I’ve previously had ambitions but had cold water thrown on them and never really fought for them or took the risk, so the 2nd verse is speaking about how I kept a spark alive even when it seemed like I’d never get a chance to go for it.”
