The Narrators blend acoustic rock, folk, county, blues, and bluegrass into their own unique brand of Americana music. The Wisconsin based duo of Tom Dupuis and Jim Felhofer tell their stories in songs filled with layers of instrumentation and tight harmonies.

Dupuis and Felhofer had started working on their fourth album, Long Gone, when Dupuis was diagnosed with cancer in January 2019. The album was about half done when Dupuis passed away on October 1, 2021. After stepping away from the project for several months, Felhofer went back to work on it and finished production in mid-August. Long Gone was released on September 30, 2022.

The Narrators landed on our radar a couple of weeks back and we are glad they did, and today we’re excited to share the band’s 11-track album titled “Long Gone”. There are many great things to say about the album but some of our favorite takeaways involve how unique the band’s writing style is.

“Long Gone” showcases a range of The Narrators’ rich songwriting and the expressive and powerful vocals. One of our favorites? it’s hard to pick but “The Little Things”, “Old Guitars”, and “Less Of You” are unbelievable and they will stick in your head all week, and we are sure you will love them as well. Regardless of your music taste, The Narrators has a universal sound that you can’t help but enjoy. Either way, we’re here for it and we can’t wait to hear what the band has in store for us next year.

Take a listen for yourself and let us know what you think. And don’t forget to connect with the band online to stay up to date on those release dates and enjoy!
